what is the smallest size your male angelfish have spawned?

I had few grow out angels that I purchased as dime sized back in feb and right now one of them is a father as my mature female silver angel laid fertilized eggs- as they started to sprout tails...


now moved the wrigglers to a tank by themselves as didn't want to leave them in the tank as the catfish in the tank would have given her a beating as she was very fierce defending her clutch and would have been very stressed out as she's ending up to be my favorite angelfish.



My shock is the fact that the only other angelfish in the tank are the growouts and I'm clueless which ones the young dad. Which I still can't believe is that young.

About 4" was the smallest when I had them. I had five in a 75 gallon tank but the fry did not survive. The next time I put the fry in a 20 gallon grow out tank. Can you post pics of the dad?

sometimes its about the age and the size of the fish. do you think one of them could have been in tank before you bought it for a long period of time?

the mom is at least 5 years old... she's fully mature silver has been laying eggs everytime I do a water change. but always had it unfertilized and other fish in the tank always end up finishing it off.

FOR The father-

they're at least 2 1/2 '' in diameter for the body. They were purchased as dime sized back in feb-

There's no other angelfish in the tank only the mature mom and the babies I brought back in feb.

I really love the mom's finnage/markings of a silver. WILL have to work on pictures.
