What is the smallest fish that a bichir can fit in his mouth, More specifically a Senegal, ropefish and possibly a ornate. I just got offered them but the only place i have to stick them is in a 75g which the smallest fish int here is a guppy (which i could care less if he eats) but the next thing up is mollies, do you think that the bichir would go after the mollies? The senegal and ornate are small like 4 to 5 inches. But how long or do you think the bichir would eat them? And if so what is the smallest fish they can fit in there mouth you think?

i would think you would be fine for a while until the ornate starts a growth spurt and takes it out but the sengal and ropefish should be fine untill they get larger as well!

but you never know but i would take some polys over mollies any day!!

:headbang2 For sure :headbang2

Also 1 i wanted to mention but forgot about is do you think the cories would be ok with them? Or should i try relocate?

At about five inches my sen ate a full grown rosy barb, about the same size as a molly. He will for sure eat the guppy. I tried using the barbs as a dither fish and to eat some hair algae and about two weeks after I had them he ate two when the lights went out. They are sneaky and you would be surprised what that mouth can fit in it. I would say if you like your community fish then set up a separate tank for the poly, if that isnt possible, IMO its a no go.

What they said^^.

i think your mollies are gonners, but worth it for that fish list you have coming. just consider them dinner for your bichers!!!!

i think your corys will be fine most likely. they have barbs an most fish know better than too mess with them, although they do share the same tank level, so there could be a territory problem

Yes they can eat the molly at this size. Atleast the ornate.
I am going to remind you that senegalus usually gets atleast 12" in tanks, ropefish can get up to 14"+ and Ornates can reach 20".
