i am having a slight fruit fly problem in the house. before we would just lay out glasses of wine for the to drown themselves. something i saw on animal planet a while back popped into my head. they say that if you take a plastic bottle, cut off the top, put fruit chuncks in it, and staple the top on backwards (upside down), it will attract them, and make a 1-way trap.
what would they do as fish food? would they be health food? would it be bad for them? would it just be a filler that would,nt make much differance to your average foods?

There are companies that breed fuitflies specifically to feed aquarium fish and pet amphibians/reptiles. Theirs are the so called "wingles" viriety. Unless your flies came in contact with pestisides or other harmful chemicals, they should be great as food

Fruitflies, as in the ones that bother me during picnics? -5 cents.
