What is this a hybrid of????

I disagree,
that is the orangespotted sunfish (Lepomis humilis) and not the much duller bluegill x green cross. Here is a picture from fish base and the picture you posted (by Gerald Sneegrass and from this site, Picture 1054)http://images.google.com/imgres?img...es?q=bluegill+hybrids&svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&sa=N. No one has crossed lepomis with anything other than other lepomis. the other pic is also from that site and shows a bluegill x green hybrid.
The nice thing about the orangespotted sunny is that it doesn't get longer than 6" and retains that great coloration. All in all it is a fiesty, easily kept fish that would make a great addittion to a collection even in a tank as small as a 29g.
