He picks on my blue gill in my 30g and want to move him to my 55+ with my bass. He was in a 10g with another sunfish type fish but he was the punk (lol) so I moved him to the 30 and gave the other fish away. Now hes the bully in the 30g. Does he/she need a mate or what? I like the fish, and would rather keep him/her over the BG, but killing my BG is a no no, and being killed by my bass is a no no too.
What to do?

Some kind of sunfish. I found a few green sunfish mixed with the feeders at an LFS and gave them to my bro. They are noe a pair and ready to spawn.

I knew it was some sort of sunfish :smack: :ROFL:
kidding asside....is it a rock bass? its pretty agressive, but not compared to bass bass
I just dont want carnage in the tank

that is a green sunfish, they might actually be fine because they are both semi-aggresive and if it is just two fish it should be fine

It appears to be a green sunfish.
BG?
The bass will probably end up killing it. But maybe not. It depends on aquarium setup and feeding.
BG= Blue gill
Thanks for the reply. Right now the Green sunfish is a tad bigger than the bass. Means nothing in the long run I guess

Thanks to you too. I have 3 bass. Maybe I shouldnt chance it. Might be ok now, but later it could be problems

It's a green sunfish, they are often aggresive. You can try it with bass but it may push them around as well.
