WHAT IS THIS CATFISH????

Kind of hard to tell in the low light but a type of synodontis would be my guess

Not to be confused with Mystus leucophasis, upside down catfish.....unless it swims upside down. They all look very similar when they are adult.
Thats just my guess. This one looks a bid beat up.
 
Looks like Synodontis schall, to me, but it's hard to say; there are several species that are very similar.

Thanks for all the replies. Even my local LFS don't know exactly but they say it's in the synodontis group. He's beat up because he likes to squeeze into the small spaces in the drift wood.

S. Eupterus would be my guess as well.

I agree. I owned a couple, but that was 20+ years ago. Mine were more of a uniform velvety black/grey, but it may just be beat up. I don't think it looks like a eupterus.
