It's definitely not a T-Reef. The vertical bars on T-Reefs are more prominent than any horizontal bars and it's usually the center bar that shows (not even completely most of the time, it often only links between several of the vertical bars).
Seeing that this one has such prominent double horizontal bars it's likely to be P. taeniolatus although I have seen P. marginatus and P. similis sold as Red Empress.
 
at first glance, i thought its a tilapia. found in our rivers. when it grows, it will probably have red fins.
