so today i was doing some 180 maintenance and i noticed my male lyonsi had funny looking lips first thing that came to mind was duck lips but there are is no divider in the tank then i noticed one of my female Texas with the same looking lips i was wondering if this came from lip locking.

If it is from lip locking, you can sometimes snap the jaw back in place with your fingers.
If it does not move back, it could be duck lips, which is a bacterial infection, that has nothing to do with a divider.
The bacteria which causes ducklips is Flexibactor columnaris, it is most virulent at temps above 82'F.
Here is a pic of a beani with ducklips, it died very soon after the pic was taken.
 
Once it's in an acute stage, it is very hard to treat, because the fish has already stopped eating.
Medicated food helps if noticed early.
It is a contagious disease, the bacteria passed from fish to fish.
But prevention is the key.
Keeping tank temps below 82'F, with plenty of water changes, vacuuming of left over food and detritus
and regular cleaning of filter media.

It is diffacult to treat at this point. You could try treating with a combination of Metro and Furan-2. Keep the water as clean as possibile during treatment and follw the direction on the package. Good Luck.
