So I had a tank a few months back that had this weird algea outbreak that would only be on the driftwood. Nowhere else. Well I cant figure out how it went away...but it did. Now my other tank has it...BAD. I took the wood out and scrubbed it raw and 3 days later...here it is again! HELP!

If I remember right its cause by bacteria, boiling the wood should take care of it, otherwise scrub it off with a wire brush again.

It will eventually go away.

ok....but I've had the wood in there for some time now with no problem up til now.

I have the same problem with new tank or overfed tanks. You need to make sure your tank has good flow and the filters are not clogged. Add a couple of powerheads or Koralia will take care of it.
