If I do not change my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be recommended to do a water change, and water changes are critical for preventing future freshwater health problems.
Today while looking at my tank I noticed all these things on the inside of my tank. Literally all over the glass and then I seen something’s floating around in the water like tiny little white worms. Anyone have an idea why this is, what causes it and hThe only thing I have done was add a couple of plants to my tank and fed my fish live black worms.

Possibly Detritus worms or Planaria. Both are harmless to fish they will appear if you overfeed. Also could have been on the plant. Most mature setup aquarium's will have Detritus Worms they live in the substrate.

Btw Planaria are flat worms and will glide across the aquarium glass. Detritus Worms will be wriggle like.

I am guilty of over feeding. I have a couple of small catfish that I’m trying to make sure get food before the others eat it. I do water changes twice a week. This is the first time I have ever seen this and I’ve been in this hobby for about ten years. Is there anyway to get rid of them. My newer smaller fish are now comfortable and eating normally. So I can cut down on the feeding and will always do plenty of water changes but is there any meds to get rid of these things?

Reduce feedings, remove any left over food and water changes will get rid of this. Meds can remove it too but it’ll make ur water go bad. Safer to not use meds.

Tbh you won't get rid of everyone of them but gravel vac substrate during wc's to reduce the population.
