Last week I noticed a sort of divit on my blood parrot. I latter turned into a patch of fungus. I treated the divit with organic meds fist. mainly salty, mela and pimaflix. latter on I felt I had to step it up and went to 2 days of maroxy. That cleared up the fungus and I felt like he was getting better the area no longer seemed irritated.

Then looking at him today I do not see any fungus but the area in question has actually gotten bigger. Does anybody know what this is? I have a bristle nose pleco in the tank what are the chances its sucking his slime coat? What does the damage from this normally look like?

I pulled him out to inspect him and the spot in question felt hard and not soft, it also lacked any slime coat. The fish is himself generally dominating the tank, swimming, eating. No characteristic changes just the divit.

Today.

Any ideas? He is my oldest fish presently so hybrid or not I have grown attached to him.

Looks like scale damage.

The BP could have rubbed against an object or liek you said, your pleco likes the taste of "slime"

see at first I assumed injury, but then it got larger in the same spot. maybe I will move the pleco and see what happens.

He might be repeatedly resting against the heater. Try to block access to it, along with whatever else you plan.
