What is this on my filter and media?

Clear/white paper work looking things. I am not sure if it is debris or something living. I am a 9 month in aquarium owner, so there is still lots to learn. I attached a couple of pictures and I appreciate the help.

What do you feed your fish? It almost looks like rice or grain....
If it wiggles...then it must be some type of alien first stage metamorphosis. ..

Does it move at all?
What does it feel like?

My first guess would be some sort of insect, or a fat deposit.

It looks like a larvae and sticks to stuff. I feed flake and shrimp.

If it's not alive, it may be pieces of shrimp that got sucked into the filter.

That's probably it...shrimp sans legs and shell...

Is this a saltwater tank? It looks like a sponge. Look up "Q-tip sponge"
