I have a firemouth in a 20 gal long with a pleco and three tiger barbs. I left for a short vacation and had my room mate take care of the tank when I was gone. When I came back he had this coming out of both of his gills. At first I thought it was an injury (he was hiding an awful lot), but then I noticed it was on both sides and there were smaller spots on the top of his body (right where the back meets the dorsal find). I've looked it up and couldn't find anything that really fit the description, so I took a picture and I hope you can help me out.
