What is this on my glass ?

yeah its algae. brush or hair or some such name. I get it in my tank from time to time. What kind of tank are you running? How long are the lights on for? When i get it on the glass i scrape it off and try to suck it out while changing water. Too much lihg tor erratic lighting periods can contribute. as can excess nutrients in the water. if you have a planted tank with co2 then erratic co2 levels can contribute

Hair algae. I have it now. I bought a Siamese algae water and that got rid of it( don't know if that's an option for you though?)

10 hours is more suited to a high tech planted system with co2 and fertilizers and such. An option would be to get a blue moonlight tube to supplement your existing lighting. That way you can still see the fish without fueling the algae, it looks cool too, and if you have semi nocturnal species you will see them more. Actually depending on the size of your tank there are are small blue led systems available that are reasonably cheap to buy and cheap to run. i have one running on my 24 inch tank and my father has one on his 39 inch tank.
