i recently noticed these white round blister bump things on my midas tail there is one that is really large the rest are five small ones in a row they are only on the tail. he is eating and acting fine but the larger one looks like it is getting bigger. the large one looks like a haze spot on the fin in the pis but it is more like a knot and the five are the white dots behind it

Water parameters?
Temperature?
Tank size?
What are the fish in it?
Filtration?
Foods?
Maintenance schedule?
How deep is the substrate? Is it vacuumed thoroughly?

In most cases the cause is some kind of internal infection. I have a discus that had this problem and I treated him with a metronizadole/praziquantil med and it went away in two days. I've had this with other cichlids and the treatment always works. I got this information from a fish disease book. I don't know where it is right now but the book is just called "common fish illnesses". Its written with information from several vets. It says most external problems are signs of something on the inside going wrong.

Oh' one of Lupin's questions "what are the fish in it" is a great question. When my discus had this the only thing different in the discuss tank was I added a rubber lip pleco a couple weeks prior. I removed the pleco and did the meds. The problem never came back.
