So got a 10gal recently, and didt really take a food look at the tank, but as soon as I took the lid of I seen this.. What is it?

Yip, its algae. Kept having that grow on my 100g since it grew on clear glass directly under the light and just out of the water, where its damp but not soaking. It will probably grow back over time, i'd recommend scrubbing it when you do gravel vacs to prevent it from getting too bad. Adjusting your lighting and lowering your water level may help or at least slow down its return as well.
