In the caiman den
Its at the bottom of a micro sword. I dunno if i should yank it out or leave it there.

Its hard to snap a pic of. I hope this is good enough

or maybe an algae ... had something similar growing among my crypts ... I ignored it and it eventually went away, so I figure it was an algae ...
 
algae , just leave it if you are not bother by it

Definitely! Remove as much as possible and vacuum just the very top layer of gravel to reduce organic buildup like poop/food etc.You kinda just want to skim the surface with the gravel vac.A temporary reduction in light would help also.Strong light or sunlight,excess organics etc will cause this algae and it could eventually bloom and cover the whole tank.It's pretty much the most common algae and is normally refered to as hair or thread algae.In worse cases(the wild) it can cover a lake etc and is called blanket weed. Hope that helps.You can try to google filamentous algae or hair algae or thread algae to get some more info if needed.
