ok people, im having trouble identifying this weired worm looking thing that i recieved with an order of live rock. :WHOA: here are a few pics i have of this. please help me figure out wit this werired ass living thing is. seems like a snake that doesnt have eyes. it does move around so i know its alove. LOL . . .. . . . .\

ive never seen anything like it:confused:... did you quarntine the rock for a lil while to see if any more of them came out?
 
no, its way too big to even go actually into the rock! its about as big around as your average pinky finger and about 12 inches long. and it moves around so i know its something living!!!
 
Where is the live rock from, that will help because there are literally thousands of marine annelids. That one is a polychaeta, almost certainly one of the lugworms (slow moving burrowers, usually detritis feeders) and probably one of the genus Arenicola, maybe species marina or brasiliensis. Harmless but prone to die and foul the tank.
