hello all ive got a snowflake eel,,fresh water but have converted to a brackish tank,, but??? now there is a red dot on him looks like a zit red with black dot in the middle abot the size of the small zero on the computer..[the numbers on the top of key board.] have him by himself untill i can find out,ive looked in books but cannot find this.
what is this?soon i hope

can you get a pic not trying to scare you but it could be an external ulcer or a tumor cant really tell without pics is it a lump or flat is it a mark only or a lump?
its a small bump pimple size. i pinned him dwn and rubbed my fingers over it. also sent second mssg bcause i didnt think first one made it..how do i delete it?
cant really help you much more without a pic do a google on fish tumors and lymphocystis and see if you can find it keep us posted will try to help more if i can
It could also be furunculitis which is basically fish zits, if so let it rupture and treat the wound with iodine or other topical antibiotic. I have never seen it outside of a book though.
