I mean my only assumption would be reproductive organ...thats the only snail in the tank though.

That tentacle does all kinds of crazy things. Its used for breeding, breathing, pooping, being weird. In octopi, its what propels them really fast. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siphon_(mollusc)

Crazy. I might pick up 3 or 4 more mystery snails and add them to the tank today...maybe they'll breed and get eaten...
