what is this worm

in my shrimp tank, which has gravel taken from a goldfish tank in it.
i found a small worm like creature. it is about a inch long. the diameter is no bigger then mechanical pencil lead.
it is clear, except for the very middle it has a pinkish coloring to its digestive track. the pinkish color could be food its eating because my goldfish eat pink food.

does anybody have any idea what it is?

im kinda thinking a parasite.

it maybe a Oligochaetes, known as a detritus worm. does anyone else have these does my description sound right?

how does it move? a detrtitus worm will wiggle much like an earthworm. if that is the case, they are harmless. they can be reduced by feeding the tank less and regular vacuuming

it does move like a earthworm. with one end poking around. it goes down into the substrate when a shrimp is near it.

have you ever fed them live blackworms? I fed mine those when they were young and some are still living in the substrate, they also looked the same color as the food i was feeding the fish. hope this helps...

no i havent, atleast not in this these tanks. i had that experience in a tropical tank years ago. thats why im alittle worried it could only come in on a fish or a plant. my fish seem healthy, all except one thats a lil small, but i think that one doesnt get enough food because its jaw is deformed.
i think im gonna just hope that that one came in on a plant i added i havent noticed it until now.
