They get around 6 feet long if I'm not mistaken, you pretty much need a room or kennel in the backyard for them.

Sure it's not a juvie nile monitor (way too cheap for a WM in Ontario)? I can't see nose close enough...Niles have the nostrils way back compared to the water, which is nearer the end onf the snout. Niles also have more bands of spots on the back if I remember correctly.

Nope, crocodilians are a completely different family. Crocs are closer related to dinosaurs and birds than lizards (Archosaurs).
