I bought a sump not too long ago and it came with this piece and I have no clue how to use it. Can someone tell me what it is and how I use it. Please don't laugh I just can't figure this thing out. Here is the pic Thanks

that is an overflow. When you add another "U" tube in there, it will drain water from the tank down to the sump.
