Water params are good. Nitrates ppm 20-30. My oscar is acting normal, but his poop looks weird and sometimes I noticed it floats. Usually its just big normal oscar poop, but now it looks clear mixed with normal poop. What do you guys think? I really don't think it's IP's, but I'm not sure...

Looks like bacterial slime. Try feeding him cleaner food for awhile. No grains, just veggies and bugs.

Is the fish new and was it quarantined/dewormed? It could be signs of parasites...any indication of worms in the fish's vent?

Yeah, there's no harm in running a few courses of Prazi-pro to be safe as well. Parasite poo is usually stringier, though. This looks more like mucus. Oscars will also produce this if they fast for awhile.

No, he has been in the same tank (55gallon) for about 6 months. Just started noticing this last week. I will run a dose of Prazi just for precaution. At first when I saw it, I didn't think anything of it, but them i saw it for a second time and just thought I'd ask for some advice.

Careful its not hexamita. You may want to treat for intestinal parasites, just in case.
