What is this?

My smallmouth bass has some sort of yellow bump on its tail, about 2mm in length. Some sort of external parasite that attaches itself to fish?? Any ideas what it is and how to cure it?

If you suspect a parasite, put him into a hospital tank, add Epsom salt raise the temp to 84 gradually and do a 3% magnesium sulfate (half a liter of water, 1 table spoon of epson salt) food soak. You should be ok.
