What is this?

Recently I noticed about 8 little white spots on my chocolate cichlid. The spots have grown in the past week and Im very concerned. He still eats well and is his regular lazy self. I checked the water, the ph is 7 and amonia, nitrate, and nitrite are all 0. What is wrong with him and how can I fix it?

Maybe it's HITH disease?

I would treat with Metro of API General Cure. Does look like the onset of Hex. from the pictures.

Thanks guys, I've had this fish for 5 years and I would hate to lose him. Any other ideas?
