What is this?

Hello,

I have this white sticky looking substance on my driftwood in my tank. What is it? Could it be eggs? My inhabitants are: 1 Jardini, 1 Hujeta Gar, 1 Needlenose Gar, 2 Senegals, and 3 crayfish (blue, red, and brown). The only possibility of eggs would be from the feeders (ghost shimp or guppies). What in the fork is it?!

im assuming the DW is new right? it happens all the time when you put new DW in a tank. it comes out of the wood, it sluffs off and is harmless. you can vac it off if you want.

The Driftwood is 2 months old. I just now noticed it, I guess it's possible it was there for awhile.
