Have no idea, caught it on a worm, thought it was interesting so I put it in a holding tank.

its pretty smart, wanted to see if it would eat so I threw a worm in there. It stares at it closely, nudges it and moves it around, but wont eat it yet. I bet its wondering when the hook will appear again.

Very neat fish to have in tank, try to catch a couple more if you have the space, they are neat to watch, interact and chase each other, etc.

Interesting, couldnt even tell you how I caught it, day before it was just bass biting, next day just bluegill then this guy happened to jump on before I left.

How big is it? You're lucky to get one man, I've been searching for a small one under 8" for about a year now and just can't catch any less than about 14".

About 13". This is the downside of keeping fish, and then going fishing......The main purpose was to get free food for the snapping turtle, but some end up as pets. Caught a cool sharp looking white stripped bass, about 6" but the hook went to deep and he didnt make it. Now its in the freezer for when the turtle is hungry. In the 75 I have a bluegill and a warmouth ugh never ends.

I love drum. A nocturnal bottom feeder that gets to a pretty good size. If you want to target them go at sunset when the others stop feeding. Any traditional cat fishing technique should work well enough. cool catch

Drums are nocturnal? I always catch the most during the day, at least in erie.

They get pulled up as by catch during the day just like catfish but the best fishing is early morning or late at night. They feed primarily on insects and bivalve mussels
