So I just noticed something weird on my rainbowfish. He is the most dominant and healthy of the group. Eating well. Is this a parasite, growth, deformation? I have no idea. If it is a parasite I want it out ASAP but I’m going away until Friday night. What do I do? (Thing is on his nose if you didn’t see)

In that case it could be a bacterial infection, possible that he scraped his nose and then it became infected. I would treat with Melafix, as prescribed on the bottle.

I don’t know if I’ll treat... idc about the fish much I just don’t want it to spread to my others. Might treat in 5 gal idk. Could it be a parasite? That’s all I’m worried abt. I’m already gone so it will have to stay for 3 days. If it’s a parasite will it spread or just infect the fish?

Would separate and maybe watch as it don’t look like a parasite.

Try and get better pics. Is it acting normal?

Would just watch for now.
