So that is diatoms and looks as if something is either killing it or consuming it.
Weird.
Could be bacteria doing it.
Could be microorganism
 
Could be that it’s used up the silicates and nutrients that it need and is dead In those areas. But that doesn’t really explain the pattern
 
Daft question but are those growths on the inside of the tank or on the underside of the glass? They look very much like those lichen type growths you see on old gravestones etc. If they're on the inside I suspect a pleco would get rid of them for you, probably get rid of that green algae too. If they are indeed on the underside of the glass they're probably moisture related.

It started as small spots then grew into circles that are now overlapping each other. I think it’s starting to happen in another tank too. Fish are fine though.
