Why do my pbass' eyes change color one time they're blood red the next they're white...

whats up with that?

i have a flowerhorn that does the same thing

during the day his eyes are blood red

but

when the light go off about an hour later when he's "sleeping" his eyes are white

"bloodeye" in pbass is a common occurance during aggression and feeding with peas that dont normally sport red eyes...some species have red eyes all the time. Ocellaris for example have red eyes constant from a young age...this is my adult male ocellaris..note the eyes;)

Hi DieselMack,
Your male pbass looks good, he has no sign of having hole in the head good job in raising up a nice male.
