Okay so to start everything off I have a 4" Jack Dempsey, 3.5" & 2" Firemouths and a 2.5" green terror. I had these all ( plus some bosemani rainbows) in my 75 gallon with a fluval 405 for filtration. Well my 75 sprung a leak maybe a week and half ago so I moved the JD, Firemouths, and GT into a already set up 55 gallon Ive had up and running for over a year with just a group of cory cats in there. (yes all my tanks are cycled, with 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and low traces of nitrate, with the liquid API test) & then i moved the rainbows into another 55 I had set up. Well I went out and bought a really nice planted 125 gallon aquarium last weekend, came back home, set it all up. It came with two canister filters already and then i moved my 405 over to help those two out. The tank also came with a few otos, two bushynose plecos, 2 guppies and headlight tetras. I let the tank settle down for a few days and then took some test of the water, it came out 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and some nitrate, so i did a little water change to lessen the nitrates. By this time my GT had been getting noticeably ganged up on in the 55, so I moved him into the 125. ( I never had any real aggresion between these fish before, i credited to them being crammed into the 55) After a day or so in the 125 alone his fins were healing up nice and he was looking a lot better. After another day I decided to add the JD and firemouths. Well now its been two days after I added the JD and firemouths and something is going on. The JD (which is usually the most outgoing) has been very dark colored and just hiding in the back. Which I credit to her being mad about getting moved around so much recently. But then I noticed that she was starting to "flash" up against decorations. And then today I just got home from work and noticed that the bottom of my GT's mouth seems to be "shedding". He has also had exponential nuchal hump growth since being added to the 125. Im talking about having no nuchal hump at all to a maybe a .25-.5" nuchal hump. Im really worried about what is going on in my tank. Any ideas?

A lot, the 125 is planted so they have all the plants to hide behind, and then i have 3 or 4 of their favorite decorations scattered around.

If you put the GT in the 125 alone, even for a few days, it claimed the entire tank as its own, hence the hump, a sign of dominance, and the reason the JD is now hiding. The shredding of the mouth may be injuries from sparing with the others.

I was hoping by putting him in the 125 alone for the few days that he would have time to heal and familarize himself with the tank before the rest of the circus was added. Could you tell me more about the hump? I know its a sign of dominance in some cichlids, but I am curious as to how long it usually will continue to grow for and what is also a "normal" growth rate for a nuchal hump.
