My small albino might have something wrong with his lip. My tiger has a white spot on his lip and a very small white spot in the center of his head. The spot on his lip might be from lip locking with a bigger Oscar. We just rescued these Oscars from terrible tank conditions and we started treat with Melafix last night. Any help is appreciated.

can anyone help out with this?

i rescued them from a 15g tank with like 5other 6" oscars...... they are in a 30g QT tank right now, will the melafix be a good treatment? continue or discontinue treatment? what about the lip on the albino

the lip on the albino was the worst that I saw in your pics, no big deal. Melafix would be fine along with some aquarium salt, about a heaping tablespoon for each 5 gallons. Also a bigger tank now or when you are done treating.

i believe that they have been bumping into the glass

Thats what I was going to say that it looked like

Yeah, what everybody else said. But be careful, because when oscars grow big, they can get very aggressive, especially towards eachother.

there was 10other oscars in a 15g tank along with these two..... so i brought them home and put them in my extra 30g with a RUGF(250gph) and a penguin350b.... So im treating them in this tank for 7-10days( is the salt really going to help the fish at all?) then we will move them to a spare 55g untill our big tank is finished.

sounds like your doing everything right..and does not look like any long term problem on the O's..just boo boo's that will heal and they will look awesome under your care and into a big tank..
