I picked up a rd who has some odd growth on his side: (Sorry pics aren't great, I needed to clean the glass. I did a 50% wc the day before pics and accidently overfed when I took the pics the next day. So I gotta clean the tank again. )
It first looked like a raised scale, and then grew.
In the month I've owned it; here is how I've treated it ( 25% wcs between treatments)
With parasite guard and also parasite clear and it appeared to stop growing.
But it still remained.
I then treated with triple sulfa--a gram positive and a gram negative anti-bacteria med.
I have also treated concurrently with salt and melafix as well.
Any ideas as to how to get rid of this unsightly bump.
He eats well and still acts quite active. So outside of this bump he's doing okay. Do you think it will ever go down or is it forever going to stay like this.
