What is your Acclimate Method?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nice....i do it the old fashioned way.. tie a knot on the air hose and tighten the knot to make the water drip slowly...

LOL, float the bag for 15 minutes. If the fish is to large for a bag then I just do the drip method.

Only time I would acclimate with the tube/drip method or the float method is when the fish is wildcaught, just came off the plane, and right to the front door. But fish stores or another hobbyst, I just do the "dump" method, straight from the bag or bucket, and into the tank. Exception for this method are clown loaches. The clown loach benefits better using the tube/drip method and don't forget the aeration.

Just dump em in.. :) As long as they aren't sensative fish, and just make sure your water temp is higher than the temp it was previously kept in..

I used to just float the bag for ten minutes then dump them in. I use drip acclimation as well now.

Qt tank matched to lfs temp. then dump em in.

i've had quite some luck with using the shock method. Make sure the temperature difference is between 5 and 9 degrees of difference and just drop the fish in.
I have yet to loose a single fish.

i tie a kno WHEN i do drip a fish
