I was just laughing at myself as I was feeding my fish tonight, I'll start:
For my 125 gallon:
(4 clown loaches, 3 elephant nose's, 1 BGK, 1 fire eel)
I hand feed my fire eel defrosted frozen krill. First, I have to locate him in the tank... he's not that big so this can be a challenge.
Tonight, he was on the right side under a pvc pipe. Last night, it was the driftwood in the center of the tank.
Then the EN's and BGK get a staple of frozen blood worms... the problem is the EN's are newly introduced and there is still some aggression going on, this is a work in progress and may result in 1 or more EN leaving the tank. If I put all the bloodworms in the center of the tank, the alpha EN will claim it, and chase off any other EN that comes close...
A trick I've learned with picky bottom feeders and frozen worms is that if you stick the cube of frozen food into the substrate (sand works great for this) it will defrost pretty quickly and stay down in the sand in a nice little pocket.
I stick two cubes in the center and one on the left of the tank.
For the loaches, they get sinking hikari food for now, either the carnivore or the normal bottom feeder tablets. However, they have a great time executing a bonzai attack on the alpha EN's bloodworms... they are about twice as big as he is and seem to think it's hilarious. If you have clowns, you'll probably know what I mean when I say I think I can see them chuckling.
My 20g is much simpler, a sprinkle of flake and two bottom feeder tablets.
What about YOU?
I'm sure some of you cichlid guys will laugh at all this, as I've seen cichlids feed... throw some pellets in and stand back.
