Well mine has to be Common Snakeheads im currently on my 3rd try to grow them up, after seeing all the snakeheads on the site here and on youtube i instantly wanted some

1st Try was a mixed tank and i bought 2 about 4 or 5" one night either my oscars or my Clarius Catfish killed both of them......to say i was gutted was an understatement

2nd Try i had now sold my oscars and clarius fish to populate my main tank into a Cichlid only tank for my living room, saw a Red Snakehead in a new fishshop.....ya know ......omg gotta buy that now.....took him home put him into the cichlid tank and was expecting a heater the next day for my 2nd spare tank which arrived broken but i had put the snakehead into the tank in cold water.....which he died in the morning

3rd Try i bought 3 Reds again this time in the tank with 1 plec and nothing else except some bogwood, and a heater this time! so fingers crossed they will grow for me, these last 3 cost me the cheapest there about 3" right now but feeding well on bloodworm and chopped prawn, im stocking up on Seafood Sticks also, oh and they cost each £3.80 or $7.60 each !

anyone else just had bad luck after bad luck with a certain type of fish?

Leopard ctenopoma. Had 4 and all of them just seem to die on me. They feed fine but they just seem to wither away, 2 of them look like they had depressions on their forehead before they died and the other two are just unknown to me.

I'm not letting it discourage me as i really liked the guys so I'm planning to get some more whenever i have the open tank space.

aros that are weening off the egg sack:confused:

just sucks. its only that size, ok with the eggsack but when they are in the weening stage and someone had it before you, it just doesnt work out for me.

:(
