I have recently seen methods on places like youtube at which people clean their tanks. i posted this under polypterus because i have a polypterus tank and because i know you guys better than any other threads. But what is your method on filling your tank up? do you just stick a hose in and put water conditioner in there. or do you use a bucket and make trips?

I'll start with my method. i started this thread because i have a 75 gallon tank and a 20 gallon tank and i use a 3 gallon bucket to do 50% water changes every 2-3 weeks. and i have gotten tired of lugging a total of 95 gallons to and from my tanks. so what is your method?

I went to home depot and bought an electric pond pump for 20$. I also bought the tubing and connector for 30 feet. I place pump in tank to pump out and the to pump in water, i clean out my kitchen sink, fill it with corrct temporature running watter and put pump in it... No sweat no rush of water to harm fish... I add chemical as it is pumped back into tank. I used to lug with 5 gallon buckets... Its just lame to have to do that.. I hope u find ur way...

Drain the tank with the python.
Dose with prime for volume of tank.
Stick python back in and fill it up.

It's that easy!

when you guys say python what do you meen? i don't think i've heard or ever seen one. lol

oh well i have one like that but mine doesn' reach the sink cause i'm half way across the world lol. so i can't reach a sink with the gravel vac. so i have to carry 1 3 gallon bucket to and from the tanks. lol it's a pain in the butt yet i can get in clean in like 45 minutes lol.
