What is your preference, the natural look of wild caught discus, ie Heckels, or domestically bred discus?

My taste in fish has shifted towards those selectively bred by man. Koi fish, Discus (like red/whites, red golden diamonds, eruption leopards, penang eruptions, snakeskins, blue diamonds, high bodied discus etc.), Flowerhorns and now fancy goldish (ranchus specifically)!

I still do appreciate alot of the truly monster fish some people here keep as well as those beautiful SA/CA cichlids.

edit: And I think wild discus are really beautiful but I wouldn't mix those with my discus hybrids.

When I was a youngester, I liked all the wild colors of domestic angels and discus. As I ... hmmmm ... older? wiser? more mature? whatever, I am only interested in the wild types. I can't imagine what I was on to think they were more beautiful than wilds. Folly of youth I suppose.

i personally like wilds... my current set-up is a species only of wild cuiperas.... but today... i splurged myself and got 2 leopard snakeskins.. i decided i want some color in my tank...

I feel the same as most here.... I used to be a big fan of domestic discus, but now, I have really developed an interest in wild discus

I like and keep wild discus but I have found that most people prefer the domestics.
