Feeder Fish
Hi

I was curious about what different members of the forum did for a living.

I work as an environmental consultant....doing fishery management, lake restoration, Environmental Impact Assessment and design of lake and reservoir aeration systems.

cheers

Rich

Before I became a stay-at-home mom, I was a controls engineer. The last job I had I programmed robots. It was a blast! :-D

i work in a maintenance operations control center for USAF acft. i pretty much input aircraft data into a database, and coordinate maintenance, weather, departure and arrival times and parking locations, maintenance personnel to and from other bases , parts, status, emergency procedures, delayed missions, etc. etc. etc.. with my people here, and headquarters in Scott Air Force Base. it's pretty much a very stressful job at most times. there is often times when i am on the phone with 3 people at one time, with people calling me on the radio, and still trying to input data into 3 different databases. and working by myself. i am also the access database nerd for my workcenter. i build, repair, and maintain our access databases. but i still find the time to browse the APF forums. :) my primary job is an aircraft crew chief for cargo jets. which includes all ground handling, troubleshooting, and repair. but i haven't done that for a long time.

I have already confessed in my Team APF profile. I teach Chemistry (to A-level) and, for 3 hours a week, fishkeeping :-D (for our animal care students).

My normal job is a printer at a photolab. My other job invovles web design, photography assistance, and photography (pets).

Eventually I'd like to go full time, but i gotta save my pennies first to get the gear i want.

Wow, all kinds of cool stuff. I think mine will be as Left-field as it gets:

I own and operate a Comic book store :-) Yep, I sell comics and cards for a living, for 12 years now. Can anyone top that one ? :-)

something along the lines of

"earth first, we'll mine the other planets later" ;)

yes, that is a bumper sticker, from the Colorado School of Mines (seen there, may not have originated from there)
