I have a 20 gallon high tank and a 20 gallon long. what kind of snake could i keep in these or would a need bigger.

In the 20 long you could keep a corn, or a cali king, maybe some others too. Kenyan sand boa maybe?

The 20 high is kind of a waste of space for a snake. A rough green snake would probably work but I've never kept one personally so I can't tell you much about them.

Oh yes the 20 high with branches and few potted plants would be great for green snakes.

I have no idea which type we have in the state but they love to climb.

For the 20 long a male rosy boa- hognose- Albino garter - rubber boa . I mention the males as they stay smaller

i think a 20 long is ok for a corn or king only for a couple yrs. both could reach 5 feet (females). i think a kenyan or a rough scaled sand boa would be great in the 20 long. male or female. i think females only get about 30 inches.
