i had a 3 year old frontosa with a nice hump has been living peacefully for about 3 years in my community tank now about 2 weeks ago he got a popeye on one of his eyes. i then proceeded to treat it with some salt and sure enough the popeye went away in about 2 or 3 days. now a week has gone by and one morning as i woke up he was floating and already dead. i dont get it.. the popeye was gone, he was eating and still active. all of his tankmates seem to be fine. tankmates are oscar, spottedgar, spilotum, tinfoil barbs and a tsn cat. any thoughts about this?
