What kind of Acara?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks a little like blue acara x something, but I know there are various Aequidens species that get grouped under the common name "blue acara" the same way all the various saums get the "green terror" common name, so it could just be a blue acara but not the common Aequidens pulcher.

wow,i notice that there is a black parrot fish?

any chance of a close up pic plz :)

Deffinately in blue acara group ... with the red in the fins I'd have to say Aequidens coeruleopunctatus ... but without knowing it's or it's ancestor's collection data, might be really hard to say.

The LFS had it labeled as a Blue acara, but after looking at other pics I started to doubt it thats why Im asking.

Well blue acara is correct. It's the common name for 4 differant species. It's just not the common blue acara, 'Aequidens' pulcher.
