hello so this is the first time i post somthing not sure how it works but i have a 65 gallon fresh watter south american cichild tank with sand and real plant in it. i have an empiorer 400 running now but it is messing with some of my plant growth. i was looking into a canister filter but im not sure what i should get for my tank. can i please get some suggestions and info

my personal opinion would be sponge filters (2) ATI Hydro V run on a single air pump. but if you really want a canister then my suggestion would be a Fluval 405. they are relatively inexpensive (especially on ebay) and they are good mechanical filters and have 4 baskets for putting bio media or carbon or whatever you feel you need.
