I was thinking about getting a Carpet Python but I can't decide which one to pick. I have never owned a Carpet Python before. I was thinking a bigger snake(7+ feet) but I like the Irian Jaya coloration but they are a little shy of the size I want. I also like Centrals and Coastals but I prefer the Irian Jaya coloration. I also saw a picture of a DiamondxJungle that I really liked too, does anyone know anything about these. So what Carpet Python do you guys think I should get?

I have a coastal but if I had the choice I would get a Jaguar which has beautiful coloration and is a variation of the coastal so they will get big!

I have an IJ so maybe I am biased >.> but they are awesome snakes... mine thinks he is a chondro....
If you want a really nice one that will get bigger I would go for a higher end yellow jungle carpet.
If you're willing to put the money into it.... Jags are where its at. IJ jags -in my oppinion- make for the best jaguars and aren't pure ij's so can get to bigger sizes. Although to be honest even some pure IJ's get a bit bigger than people seem to think

In the end though you should get what you want. You can always get a bigger snake later if you are in love with the IJ's

I do love IJ's I may have to get one. I would want to get a female because it would be bigger. I love the IJ Jags too and if I got one I would probably want to breed it at some point. How much would the IJ Jag cost? Also how big is yours and how old is he?

Go for a centralian. Coolest aside from a high yellow jungle carpet. Or jags..

My IJ is 2 years old and about 3 1/2 feet last time i measured him, still growing though and pounding small rats

If it turns out to be like mine...thinking it's a chondro...you will need a ceramic heat emitter... as obviously an under tank heater doesn't do much for an animal in the air lol
Also if that happens... they can become perch aggressive... not cage aggressive.... just perch aggressive... meaning that it curls up somewhere on a "branch" gets comfortable...and does NOT want to move... so a small hook would be a useful tool for that heh
My IJ is great once I get him off his perch...but until then he is a demon lol
Also very curious and interested in everything that is happening around him.

Yes but get a ceramic heat emitter either way i have found that most carpets, even my larger female coastal spends most of her time in the branches.
