i have african cichlids and i'm looking to get a catfish for my tank also, any recomendations as to what species would be a good addition for my tank?

syno cats, raphael cats...small mouthed sp. cause the large mouth ones will eat the africans if they get a chance...i have a syno and am getting a spotted raphael cat with my africans...

Synodontis eupterus is the perfect cat for africans...

yes they are good fun cats for africans..

Euptera, nigrita, multipuctata, petricola, and lucipinnis are the species I would look at.
If money is not much of an object, try granulosa and njassae if you can find them.

Thats good info.. good to know

Indeed, they're from the same areas in the wild. I particularly like Syno. decorus. myself. If you have a really big tank, Giraffe cats work well too.

If you're planning on breeding, keep in mind some synos (such as S. multipunctatus) specialize in raiding cichlid nests, eating their eggs and leaving their own eggs in place. Cichlids then raise a mouthfull of catfish ...
