What kind of catfish likes

calmer waters? I'm going to replace my 2 golden algae eaters with several catfishes. the GAEs occasionally harass my gouramis (algae eaters like eating fish slime right off the fish i guess). the gouramis like calmer waters so i've been constantly trying to find a bottom feeder that likes the same water conditions. my tank is a 10 gal, 2 fake plants, gravel, large piece of driftwood, dirt magnet sponge filter (25gal model).
any recommendations, even if it's not a catfish, is much appreciated. i don't want plecos.

you can try cory cats (plenty varieties to choose from), bumblebee cats, some smaller varieties of synodontis cats, or anything that doesn't get real big. most cats don't like fast moving waters so u'll be good with many varieties. try planetcatfish.com look around on there and see what you like. monsterfishkeeper isn't really the place to find many fish for a 10g. good luck

agreed with above, except feel free to pic our brains on any sized catfish. Stick with smaller cories. They are a lot of fun and you can breed them. Good luck.
