The Orange Blotched Zebra.
Most have a light yellow to orange body color with multiple black/blue blotches.
On occasion, the male might exhibit a darker blue body, but not always.
Originally described by Boulenger in 1899, most found today are farm raised specimens
that have been selected for more color and more blotches.
The O.B. Zebra prefers a large area of rocky environment to set up its territories.
Fairly aggressive, it can handle its own with larger cichlids.
Sometimes it is best to slightly crowd this fish, as it cuts down on aggression; there are too many targets to chase!
As with all Cichlids, frequent partial water changes will help ensure the best water quality and best overall fish health.
