What kind of cichlid is this?

I was under the impression that this was a convict when it was given to me, but after seeing a bunch of adult convicts at the lfs today, I'm starting to think otherwise. If not, is it pretty easy to breed? I got 2 of them a few months ago to breed them so I can use the babies as feeders, but one of them died the next day.

I think it's a Zebra Tilapia (Tilapia buttikoferi).

Thanks guys! It's only about 3" so is this too young to tell if its male or female and are they pretty easy to breed?

At least its worth a little more than a convict. They are illegal in VA I believe. Not sure about CA.
