what kind of cichlids are these?

Ok let's see if this works now. I made a thread about this earlier but I messed up on the pic links and now i can't edit that post. Well I'm back with good links and better pictures. Sorry about posting a new thread for this.

I got some cichlids from Petsmart a couple months ago that were labeled as Jacks and Texas chiclids. What do ya'll think they are? Whatever they are, they are some beautiful cichlids. :)

Here are the so called Texas cichlids. They're usually lighter colored than they were when I took a couple of these pics. They get lighter and darker pretty often, but one is always darker. I have three of them. :)




And here are the so called Jack Demseys. I have three of these too. :)




And here are some shots of the two kinds together, and some others that were trying to get some attention. :eek:

They yours? How do they Behave - aggressive?
 
Ya the first couple pics are jacks, and the ones you said are jacks are actually texas lol. They look similar so its not uncommon to get them confused!

yup they're all mine. :) they're cichlids so they are aggressive, but no more than the average cichlid. ;) right now the pink convict parents are the aggressive ones in the tank.

hey i didn't get them wrong, my local petsmart did. in fact when i went there last week they had both kinds in the same tank, all labeled as jacks. they're kinda dumb there.... :confused:

Most are lol. Not that there dumb, just that most dont know sh*t about fish, there just people looking for a paycheck lol
